Can You Case It #142 Colour Challenge CYCI#142

Hello and Welcome :)
Today's project was created for entry in the Bi-weekly sketch challenge over at Can You Case It

I am very honored to have been picked as one of the Top 6 Picks for my entry into last fortnights challenge.
Thank you so much Char from Char's Journey for your vote.

Today's challenge is a colour challenge chosen by Wynne.
We can create projects with the beautiful colour combinations of Egg Plant, Silver and Neutral.

This is my entry -

I didn't exactly have any Egg Plant card stock, so used dark purple for my card base and teamed this with a lighter shade of purple designer paper for my top mat.
I stamped this beautiful Hydrangea onto a piece of Vanilla card stock and water coloured the image with Egg Plant ink.

I added a banner cut from silver glimmer paper and teamed this with my sentiment. I used dimensionals to fix this to my card face and finished with a pretty Silver gemstone.

I have had so much fun with this project and just love playing along with the talented crafter's at Can You Case It.

Crazy Crafters Highlights 02/12 - Stampin Up Australia

Hello and Welcome :)

Well here we are again... another Friday night hopping around with the Crazy Crafters.

I love taking part in this Blog Hop and love all the inspiration and ingenious designs created by this group of very talented crafters.

My project this week highlights the beautiful Stampin Up stamp set Falling Flowers... a gorgeous collect of floral designs.

My colour combinations have come from the 2016 - 2018 In Colour series -
Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach and I added in the mix some Mint Macaron for the leaves.
How gorgeous are these colours ...
I used the coordinating In Colour card stock and teamed this with Very Vanilla to really show off the beautiful designs in this set.
I used my blender pens to colour the images and using the coordinating Framelits Dies May Flowers cut out my floral centerpiece.

I loved creating this greeting card so much I decided to replicate my design and make some cute little
2017 Calendar fridge magnets to match each card.

I used the same principle as with the cards in my stamping, colouring and cutting of the floral designs and added the cute little calendar and the sentiment "The best is yet to come" from the Frosted Medallions stamp set.
These sweet little sets would make beautiful end of year gifts for family and friends.

I have really enjoyed creating this weeks project and I can see many cards highlighting this stamp set in the near future :)

Can You Case It Sketch Challenge - CYCI #141

Hello and Welcome :)

Today's project was created for entry into this weeks
Can You Case It sketch challenge #141.

I was very surprised and honored to have been chosen as one of the Top 6 Picks last week.
Thank you so very much Wynne Grob from
Crops Scissors Paper  for your vote :)

This is  the sketch design that we were given for inspiration -

This is my interpretation of our sketch for this challenge.

I used a Rich Razzleberry card stock  and teamed it with Black. I love how the combination of Maroon and  Mauve/Pink pop off the page when teamed with a Black background.
My designer paper has a watermark type pattern which I think works well with the other elements of this card.
I die cut some sweet butterflies and water coloured them to compliment the colour design.
I inked around the edge of my sentiment and as per the sketch fixed it horizontally to my card face.
I used dimensionals to fix my butterflies around the card face and bent their wings a little to give the impression that they are fluttering above the page.

This card has a fun fresh feel to it and would suit a variety of occasions.

I have really enjoyed playing along with the Can You Case It sketch challenge today.

Crazy Crafters Highlights 25/11 Stampin Up ! Australia

Hello and Welcome :)
Today I am once again showcasing the beautiful
Blooms and Wishes stamp set by Stampin Up!
I have fallen in love with this set ... the images are just lovely and with so many floral combinations possible the designs are just endless.

In today's project I have used Peekaboo Peach cardstock for my card base and Very Vanilla for my top layer.

I used Peekaboo Peach, Hello Honey, Tangerine Tango and Mint Macaron Inks to create my floral background and inked the edge of my top mat to give some depth.

I cut a 2 1/2 x 2 inch piece from Very Vanilla card stock and recreated the floral background. I used the sentiment " For You " from the Blooms and Wishes set and mounted this onto my card face using dimensionals.
I finished with gold gemstone embellishments.

I loved this design so much I wanted to try it in another colour combination. I made a card storage box and stamped a similar floral background design but this time used
Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry and Flirty Flamingo inks.

Two very different colour combinations with both producing very striking end results. This just shows the versatility of Stampin Up! ink colours.

I have entered today's project into this weeks

I love so many elements of this sketch - I am definitely a doily girl and the bakers twine adds a sweet finish.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 337 - " Just Choose Two "

Hello and welcome :)
Today's project was created to enter into this weeks
Our inspiration this week was an element challenge where we were given 3 elements of which we had to pick two - Hence the name " Just Choose Two"

Our elements were Doily , Diecut or Designer Paper.
I have chosen Diecut and Designer Paper, and seeing as I am in the midst of creating Christmas cards for my family and friends, I thought this greeting card fit the bill.

I  teamed Christmas red cardstock with Christmas themed designer paper. I cut the paper at 1" widths and staggered the lengths to add interest.
I used a simple 1 1/2" circle punch to cut two circles for my sentiment, and attached them to the face using dimensionals to give a 3D effect. I finished off with some white bakers twine, wrapped around the face and tied in a bow.

The colours in this card are so much richer that the picture shows. My phone is old so it doesn't take the best pictures any more but I have asked Santa for a camera for Christmas :)

I have had fun creating this card for the Just Add Ink Challenge.
